why, hello there!
i'm azrael—a creature of chaos with a drawing tablet, a questionable sleep schedule, and an (un)fortunate tendency to make an OC for every hyperfixation i have.I’m currently a college student with a part-time job, which means my time to draw is sometimes limited. In spite of this (and the tyranny of late-stage capitalism), being an artist has always brought me so much joy, and my dream is to someday have a sustainable career doing what I love.Because of that, coming back to this project after previous struggles to make a functioning business out of my favorite hobby is intimidating, honestly—but the siren’s call to try again was louder than the demons in my head talking smack. I've spent a lot of time and care developing my style and figuring out how to release my artwork into the interwebs, and I’m finally at a place where I’m confident enough to give it another try.
Most of my crafting is fantasy illustration and character design with a touch of tomfoolery and a three-finger-pinch of occasional magical nonsense.I draw my inspiration from things like TTRPGs, anime, videogames, folklore, and whatever else I can get my freaky little hands on. Simply put, if it involves monsters, fey-flavored chaos, or morally-questionable vampires, I’m probably interested. (And if you see me fiending over Shadow Milk Cookie… no, you didn’t.)

FAQs
where can i post/use the art i receive from you?
my art is solely for personal use. i do not take commercial commissions. you can use my art for:
- character reference sheets (with credits)
- profile pictures, icons, and banner on social media (with credits)
- other things upon request!
can i request revisions once the drawing process has started?
revisions are freely allowed during the sketch stage, and minor revisions are allowed after lineart, but not after the lineart is finalized.
what kind of information do you want when you ask for "character references"? what if i don't have any visual references for my character?
i'll take whatever you have! the more, the better, though, so feel free the share anything that you'd like to.
visual references are preferred but text is also okay. having no visual references and requiring me to guess (which might lead to more revisions being needed) may incur a design fee of 50% if text description is lacking, so please be as descriptive if you can. pop culture references are helpful too!
how long will it take for me to receive the final version of my commission?
i like to give a loose estimate of 3-4 weeks, but when my personal life is particularly busy (eg. exams season), it can be harder to find the time and energy to complete commissions. during these busy times, it might take me 1-2 weeks longer than the general estimate. i will notify you as soon as possible if i feel i am taking longer than intended.
how and when do i need to pay you for my commission?
i take all payments through my paypal. please wait for me to send you an invoice before you try to send payments. a 50% deposit of the total commission price must be sent to me before i start any work, and the other 50% must be paid when the sketch is finalized.
